Claire Nilson, Ganesh Kalyanaraman, Paul Sarauskas, Noah Klug, and Ellen Kief, along with the assigned GMS Steering Committee Members of Maria Çelebi, Jane Carroll, and Matthew Amoils, will all be working hard to attempt to fulfil their newly expanded remit. Not only will the Committee be welcoming new members to the Section and managing the increase in membership but, from this year onwards, the Committee will also be investigating the needs of the Section's membership with a view to hopefully addressing these needs in the future. If any GMS member would like to volunteer ideas of the contributions that they can provide to the Section and any benefits that they hope to receive from GMS, they should feel free to contact Claire Nilson. Watch out for future announcements of some of the exciting developments we hope to achieve this year! GMS IBA Reception The GMS is hosting a reception for our members who will be travelling to London for the IBA Immigration Biennial on November 21 and 22. The reception will take place November 21 from 6 pm to 7 pm at the 150 Bar located on the ground floor of the Mayfair Hotel. MISS AN ISSUE? No Sweat. Check out AILA's archive. Athens in March The GMS is planning a reception in conjunction with the Rome District Chapter's Spring Conference in Athens, which will take place March 13–14, 2014. We expect that it will be similar to the excellent event that was held in Poland before the last RDC Spring Conference and we will send out more information as soon as it is available.
