IT TAKES A VILLAGE A new innovation at the National Office was introduced in 2010: Function Teams. Te eight Function Teams engage staff of all levels and departments to work together, sharing in ideas to further increase the visibility of the Association and enable a stronger member- ship. Based around broad thematic areas,
Function Teams allow staff to broaden their knowledge of the organization and also share ideas to meet the needs of the Association and its members. Function Teams invigorate our workplace, empower staff, and improve our products and services for AILA mem- bers. Highlights of 2010 activities include:
Face of AILA • Updated AILA Wikipedia Page • Created a multi-purpose informational brochure on AILA and its mission • Introduced the Face of AILA Campaign
Tools In Our Arsenal • In collaboration with AIC’s Legal Action Center and a team of students from Penn State Law at Dickinson, initiated member surveys on right to counsel and the im- pact of the economic climate on practice.
KUDOS! AILA’s Senior Director of HR and Administration, Theresa A. Waters, was honored by The Human Resource Leadership Awards.
